Neighbrr / Community Karma
Karma is how the neighbourhood keeps score.
For the Neighbrrs who show up, rent, lend, and invite others in. Here is exactly how you earn it, and how you'll be able to spend it with organisations doing good in your community.
What it is
the ideaCommunity Karma is a running count of your part in making Neighbrr work. You build it up through the things that grow the network - completing rentals, listing your own things, leaving reviews, and inviting Neighbrrs who get started themselves.
A couple of things worth knowing up front, so nothing's a surprise later:
- It isn't money. No cash value and no fixed Karma-to-euro rate. You earn it by taking part, and later you'll spend it with local partners - but you can't buy it or cash it out.
- It isn't transferable. It's tied to your account. You can't send it to another member or pool it with anyone.
Ways to earn it
live nowEvery award lands the moment the thing that earned it is completed - not when it's booked.
Every rental after that
price → KarmaKarma set by the rental price, in fixed bands - a €22 rental → 30, a €67 rental → 60, and 100 at the top. Based on the rental price alone - service fee and any delivery don't count. Earned as the renter.

Invite a Neighbrr who gets started
+100 eachWhen someone you invited completes their first rental - or finishes the checks to start lending (identity and payout details, not just a confirmed email) - you both get 100. Once per Neighbrr.
… and when they list their first item
+150 eachIf that same Neighbrr goes on to list something of their own, you both get another 150.
List an item
+25Earned once for each genuine item you put up for rent, the first time it's listed.
Review a rental
+5For leaving a review once a rental is done, whether you were the renter or the owner. One review each per rental.
Founding Karma
+250A one-time grant for the earliest Neighbrrs who got Neighbrr going - signing up and verifying, listing an item, or completing a rental in the early days.

Your journey, recognisedAs your Karma grows, so do your badges - from Seed to Grove. Each one marks another step in your journey and the contribution you've made to the Neighbrr community.

Not open yet
We're still signing up partners, so redemption isn't live for everyone. When it opens in your area you'll be able to browse what's on offer, exchange Karma for a reward code, and show that code at the partner.
Until then Karma just adds up. Nothing expires while you wait, and the rules above don't change retroactively.
Your Karma history
the receiptsEvery point you've earned - and later spent or had reversed - is listed on your Karma history page, newest first, each line with the reason it happened. If a number ever looks off, that's the page that explains it.
Karma follows real activity, so once in a while a line is a reversal: it happens when something that earned Karma is undone - a rental that's fully refunded, or a listing removed right after it went up. The original award and the reversal both stay on the page, each with its reason, so the total always ties back to what actually happened.
Point values shown here are current and may be adjusted as the programme grows; changes aren't applied backwards. Community Karma has no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be transferred between accounts. Redemption through partner organisations, where available, is covered by the Karma Rewards Terms.
