Karma Rewards Terms

Version 1.0 | Last Updated: September 4, 2026

These terms apply when you use Community Karma to obtain a reward offered by a partner organisation through Neighbrr. They sit alongside our Terms and Conditions, which continue to apply.

Karma is earned by completing rentals and through referrals; see our Terms and Conditions for how it's calculated and when it can be reversed.

1. Karma has no cash value

Community Karma is a community-standing indicator. It is not money, currency, credit, or a store of monetary value. It cannot be exchanged for cash, sold, or transferred between accounts. Redeeming Karma for a partner reward is you spending your own Karma, not a payment or a transfer of value to anyone else.

2. No fixed exchange rate

There is no set relationship between Karma and any currency. Each partner decides, with us, how much Karma a given reward costs and describes what that reward is. Any monetary figure shown next to a reward (for example "€10 voucher") is the partner's own description of their offer, not a valuation of Karma by Neighbrr.

3. Redeeming a reward

When you redeem, the Karma cost is deducted from your balance immediately and recorded in your Karma history, and we issue you a unique redemption code. You present that code to the partner. Each code can be used once.

A code is valid for a limited time, shown on your redemption page. If it expires before you use it, or if you cancel it beforehand, the Karma is returned to your balance as a new entry in your Karma history. A reward that has already been confirmed by the partner is not reversible except at our discretion.

4. The partner provides the reward

The reward itself is provided by the partner, on the partner's own terms, and may be subject to their availability and conditions. Neighbrr is not the supplier of the reward and is not responsible for the goods, services, or benefits a partner provides. If something goes wrong with a redeemed reward, contact us and we will help where we can.

5. What we share with a partner

To let a partner validate your code we share the code, the reward it relates to, and its status. We do not share your contact details or account information for this purpose. See our Privacy Policy.

6. Fair use

You must not obtain or redeem Karma by fake, duplicate, or automated accounts, or by any other deceptive or artificial means. Where we identify such activity we may withhold or remove Karma, cancel redemptions, and suspend or terminate the accounts involved.

7. Changes

Karma Rewards is a discretionary feature. We may add, change, limit, or withdraw rewards, partners, or the feature as a whole at any time. Where reasonably practicable we will give notice of material changes. We do not guarantee that any particular reward, or any reward at all, will be available.
